There are several places to receive film and video education in Austin. The University of Texas offers a Bachelor's degree in Radio, Film and Television. This is multidisciplinary degree with a large amount of the coursework devoted to theory. The University also offers a practical MFA in Film and Video ProductionConcordia University's Communications BA includes video production coursework. Those students interested in a short, more hand-on course may like to try the Austin Film Workshop The Workshop offers 14-week courses in basic and advanced production as well as Final Cut Pro and Adobe. The classes generally meet once a week for three hours.
